EDITORIAL OPERATING SYSTEM

Trust is a visible workflow.

These rules govern how we research, test, disclose, correct and update every page.

01

Sourcing

We prioritize primary and authoritative sources. Vendor pages may establish a feature or claim, but are labeled by context and do not independently prove performance. Material factual claims receive direct source links.

02

Testing

Hands-on labels are used only when the research desk operated the product on a documented workflow. Reviews state the test material, date, plan, device and limitations. Desk research is never presented as hands-on testing.

03

AI use

AI may assist research organization, transcription, drafting and quality checks. A human editor remains accountable for claims, structure, source selection and publication. Generated text is never the sole source for a factual claim.

04

Affiliates

Compensation never determines ranking. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the relevant page. A tool can be recommended without an affiliate link and criticized while a link exists.

05

Corrections

Material errors are corrected promptly. Substantive corrections include a note explaining what changed and when. Silent edits are limited to spelling, grammar and formatting.

06

Updates

Articles display publication and update dates. Tool comparisons are rechecked when pricing, capabilities or terms materially change. Old claims are removed or archived rather than left to rank inaccurately.

REPORT A CORRECTION

Specific evidence gets a specific response.

Include the page URL, the statement in question and a primary source where possible. Correction contact details will be added once the publication mailbox is connected.
